Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I migrated away for school (to Chicago + Oxford) and then found my way back for family + my husband. My work as a doula centers on my devotion to the flourishing of mothers - from birth.

I see women in our culture lacking deep roots from which to draw sustenance for the task of bringing life into this world. Physical sustenance, spiritual and mental and emotional support, the webs of community that link us together. With the proper support, starting from birth, you can “take root downward and bear fruit upward.” You can be like “a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” You can contain abundance and create the deep roots of generational flourishing.

As a Christian, my spirituality informs my approach to this work. I see birth as an ordinary physiological process and also a beautifully designed sacred mystery. I provide practical support and also reverence to your unique experience.
